Degree EarnedUpon completion of the program, a doctorate degree in Surgical Diseases Nursing is received from the Department of Nursing.

Registration Acceptance ConditionsTo apply to the program, candidates must be graduates of the Surgical Nursing Thesis Master's program, have a score of at least 70 from ALES, or be successful in internationally accepted exams whose equivalence is accepted by the Senate instead of the ALES result and whose success base scores are determined. Candidates who will apply to the program must have a score of at least 65 from YDS or ÜDS or an equivalent score from an exam accepted by the Interuniversity Board (YÖKDİL, KPDS, TOEFL, IELTS, etc.). In student admission, the success grade will be found by adding 20% ​​of the weighted GPA of the master's degree, 50% of the standard score from ALES, and 30% of the score obtained as a result of the scientific evaluation exam conducted by the jury established by the institute's board of directors. For a candidate to be considered successful, the success grade must be at least 70.
Recognition of Prior LearningSuccessful students who have completed at least one semester in another department of the relevant university or institute of technology or a postgraduate program of another higher education institution may apply for the horizontal transfer quota announced in the relevant department. Horizontal transfer is possible with the approval of the relevant department head and the decision of the institute's board of directors.
Degree Requirements and Rules The students studying in this Ph.D program are required:
to take a minimum of 7 courses with a minimum of 21 local credits
to pass the qualifying examination,
to prepare and defend a doctoral dissertation
to succeed in all the courses with a letter grade of at least CB/S
to have a Cumulative Grade Point Average of at least 2.50/4.00 with a minimum of 240 ECTS credits.
Program ProfileThe language of instruction is Turkish. The program includes compulsory and elective courses related to the field of surgical disease nursing. Compulsory and elective courses related to the field are carried out in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th semesters; thesis work related to the field is carried out in the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th semesters.
Occupational Profiles of GraduatesNurses who have received their doctorate in Surgical Diseases Nursing can work as clinic managers and nurse managers in the Ministry of Health, University, and Private hospitals. They can work as academicians in the Department of Surgical Diseases Nursing in Health Sciences Faculties of Universities, Faculties of Nursing, Nursing Colleges, and Nursing Departments in Health Colleges.
Access To Upper DegreeGraduates who successfully complete the doctoral program can apply for an academic position at higher education institutions in Turkey or abroad in the same or similar fields, or as experts at research centers in public institutions.
Exams, Assessment and Grading

Graduation requirements are explained in the "Degree Requirements and Rules" section. The student must have passed all courses in the program and must not have a DZ or BZ grade. In this program, the student must have a minimum of 240 ECTS credits and a general grade point average of at least 2.50 out of 4.00 or 75 out of 100.
